The Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Saniaga Uno officially opened the 2023 Art Jakarta Garden on Tuesday, 7th of February. An art exhibition, drawing in artists, art galleries, and collectors from Indonesia and beyond.
In an opening ceremony, led by the Director General of The Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Hilmar Farid. On top of showcasing to the public, Indonesian and international art pieces in a hybrid open-air and indoor setting.
The art exhibition marked a chance for Indonesian artists to connect with collectors. Hilmar admitted that there was a significant amount of purchases a sign that the Indonesian economy and art industry has bounced back.
As many as 22 Indonesian galleries and one gallery from Malaysia, showcased their pieces at the exhibition. Art Jakarta Gardens indeed marked an important moment for these galleries. As exhibitions like this, ensure the art industry can continue to thrive amid the challenges of the pandemic.
