Indonesia's LRT which stands for light rail transit for the greater Jakarta area is planned to be operational this coming July. They are currently conducting trials of operating systems and cross services one to three as well as light rail transit depots.
Integrated rail crossing LRT for the greater Jakarta area is primed to be operational this coming July in 2023. The division head of LRT PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) Mochamad Purnomosidi said that progress to finish the LRT project, valued at 32 trillion rupiah is abour 88 point 4 percent completed. Operators are now focusing on testing the operating system that replaces the role of machinists as well as trials of 3 cross services and LRT depots.
According to Purnomosidi, testing of service one, which is Cawang-Cibubur is completed. While testings for service two and tree, which is Cawang-Dukuh and Cawang-East Bekasi is still on going respectively. But he is optimistic that the commercial operations will commence right on target this coming July.
